Talking Therapy

Support when life feels overwhelming, confusing, or stuck

This approach is for you if you feel feel like you are holding it together on the outside, but inside you feel anxious, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself. Instead of offering quick fixes or generic advice, this approach helps you explore why you feel the way you do, how your past experiences influence your present, and what changes are needed to help you feel calmer, clearer, and more fully yourself.

This approach is especially helpful if you:

  • Overthink, worry, or feel emotionally on edge

  • Feel exhausted from constantly “managing” yourself

  • Carry the impact of past experiences

  • Want depth, insight, and lasting change not just techniques

What makes this therapy different:

  • Thoughtful, psychologically informed work (based on Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy), not generic advice

  • A calm, structured space to explore without pressure

  • Therapy shaped around you, not a preset model

You don not need to have the right words or a clear goal. Together, we slow things down, make sense of what is happening beneath the surface, and build change that feels grounded and sustainable.

Clinical Hypnotherapy

When insight alone isn’t enough to shift how you feel

Clinical hypnotherapy is for people who understand their difficulties but still feel emotionally stuck. You may know why you feel tense or blocked yet your emotional responses do not seem to follow logic. This approach works gently with the subconscious mind, helping reduce emotional reactivity and loosen patterns that feel automatic.

This work may be especially helpful if you:

  • Feel stuck despite insights or self-work

  • Experience anxiety or emotional responses that feel automatic

  • Carry trauma responses stored in the body

What makes this approach different:

  • Delivered by a Chartered Psychologist and Clinical Hypnotherapist

  • Grounded in psychology and trauma-informed practice

  • Focused on safety, trust, and meaningful change

Hypnotherapy is offered as an evidence-informed intervention, not stage hypnosis or loss of control. It can be used on its own or integrated with talking therapy to support deeper, longer-lasting change.

Trauma-Focused Approach

When past experiences continue to affect how you feel today

Trauma is not always about what happened - it is about what stayed in the nervous system afterwards. You may find yourself reacting strongly, emotionally numb, or constantly on edge, even when life seems stable on the surface.

This approach focuses on helping your nervous system feel safer, calmer, and more regulated. Sessions are paced carefully and guided by what feels manageable for you. There is no pressure to revisit memories before you are ready, and no expectation to “relive” the past.

This approach may be right for you if you:

  • Feel triggered, on edge, or emotionally overwhelmed

  • Notice strong reactions that don’t match the present moment

  • Experience shutdown, numbness, or disconnection

  • Carry the impact of past experiences, even if you rarely talk about them

What makes this approach different:

  • Trauma-informed, psychologically grounded, and carefully paced

  • Focused on safety and stabilisation first

  • Delivered by a Chartered Psychologist with specialised trauma training, including Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR)

Using trauma-informed psychological approaches we will work toward reducing emotional pressure, increasing stability, and restoring a sense of control.
